Ministerial Staff

Rev. Gerald Rose
God is great and worthy to be praised!  This humble servant of the Most High God that loves the Lord has answered the call of God and has been sanctified to declare the Work of God and to stand fast.

In 1990, God blessed me and led me to be part of the birthing process that brought forth my church home, Deliverance Baptist Church.  I am one of about 33 original members who were under the leadership of our founding Pastor, Rev. Henry J. Miles.

In 2003, I was licensed to preach the gospel under the leadership of Rev. Michael W. Golphin Sr.  2011 was the year of my ordination at DBC under the now elevated Bishop Michael W. Golphin Sr. where I now serve God as an Associate Minister.

I am a devout husband, father, grandfather, and family man serving the Lord in the following ministries:  Worship Leader, Teaching/Education Ministry - Adult Sunday School, Adult Discipleship Classes, Children Discipleship Classes, Scout Ministry - Boy Scout Leader, Access Ministry - Rider Coordinator for our Seniors, Communion Ministry (Sick and Shut in), and Baby Dedication Ministry.  I am also a certified Evangelism Trainer.

My compassion is for people.  My passion is for the Lord, family, and those outside the arc of salvation.

 Rev. Jeff Lowry
Rev. Jeffrey D. Lowery is a founding member of DBC.  He is married, a father, and a grandfather.  He’s the Servant Leader of the church’s Prison Ministry.  He spent seven years teaching in a faith based rehabilitation program.  He has seventeen years ministry to the incarcerated at federal, state, and local institutions.  He was the Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America, Greater Pittsburgh Council, for seven years and Assistant District Commissioner for two years.  He is President and CEO of a nonprofit prison after care organization (LAMPLIGHTERS’).

 Rev. Maurice Watson
Rev. Maurice Watson accepted the call to ministry at a very young age.  He preached his initial sermon at the age of eight and continued to grow in ministry as he served in various capacities.  He received a diploma of practical theology from International Bible Institute and Seminary and went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.  He also holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from South University.  He was first ordained in the Church of God in Christ but has made Deliverance Baptist Church his home for the last ten years.  Where he was ordained and received into the Baptist faith, he now serves as Superintendent of the Adult Sunday School and works faithfully in other capacities with the Choir and Music Ministry.  Rev. Watson is gifted to sing and play several instruments but his first love is preaching of the gospel which has the power to save souls.  His desire is to be faithful over what God has committed to his care and serve the needs of his pastor and father in the faith, Bishop Michael W. Golphin Sr. and the Deliverance Baptist Church family.

 Rev. Quiana Golphin
At the age of eleven at Deliverance Baptist Church, Quiana could no longer contain the excitement and desire for an eternal connection to Jesus Christ as her Savior. Therefore at the invitation to accept Christ into her life, she gladly accepted. From that moment, service in God’s kingdom has always topped her priority list, as she knew that without him her life would have no meaning.  Her teenage years were devoted to singing in the choir and helping out wherever she could. It wasn’t until 2000 that Quiana shed her fear and accepted the call and responsibility of being one of the praise and worship leaders in her church. It was as a praise and worship leader that God developed her ability to hear from him and truly minister and speak to individuals in need of answers and encouragement through song. Unknown to her, God was grooming her to become a licensed minister 6 years later, on August 6, 2006.

On June 5, 2011, Quiana became an ordained minister and has been honored to have the responsibility ever since.  Rev. Golphin currently serves as Youth Minister, Servant Leader for the Altar Workers, Teacher, Praise and Worship Leader, and still serves wherever else she is needed at Deliverance Baptist Church. Her greatest fulfillment comes from knowing that she is giving God her all by bringing as many people as possible into contact with her Savior through her dedication and service. Her favorite scripture can be found in Jeremiah 29:11 which says, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Rev. Quiana appreciates this scripture because, “It speaks of the great love and concern God has for his people. Even though we might have to endure tough times in our life, we can be comforted in knowing that God’s intention is never to harm us. In fact, his plan is to provide us with a successful, meaningful future in him.”

 Min. Stacey Smith
Stacey (Nicholson) Smith was born, raised and educated in Pittsburgh, PA.  She graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1987, and went on to obtain an Associates Degree in Administration. She is currently pursuing a BA in Christian Ministry at Geneva College's Center for Urban Biblical Ministry.

Stacey accepted the Lord at a young age, and like many youngsters, strayed away to see what was "out there".  Finding nothing good, except for the children she raised as a single, teen mom, she later returned to the Lord and joined Deliverance Baptist Church in 2002.  Stacey received the call to minister and was licensed to Preach the Word in July 2011.  In 2012 she was blessed to unite in marriage with Dana L. Smith, and together they work in ministry.

Being passionate about the Lord and His people, Minister Smith is involved in various ministries; though her greatest love is teaching God's word.  She teaches New Member Orientation classes, Adult Sunday School, and ministers in the Prison Ministry.
